Autumn

Autumn is finally here,
The ever-changing sky no longer blue and clear.
A gentle wind sighs against my cheek,
Carrying with it the scents of which all men seek.
Rust-coloured leaves detach themselves in their melancholic way,
Only to lie down in the soil and get blown away.
I eye the raindrops that patter.
Birds fly and leaves shatter.
I look up, see pitifully little light,
It seems that the burning sphere has lost its fight,
As the dull, weak rays of the sun fade into the night.
Darkness engulfs everywhere as far as my sight can reach,
The scene was picturesque, but nature has now finished its charming speech.
