On the mountains of high,
On the mountains of snow,
A little girl sits there freezing,
With nowhere to go,
A bitter wind comes, carrying death and despair,
The girl props on a tree, filled with distress and scare,
Not knowing what will take place, not knowing if she will live,
She lays her head down tenderly, hoping not to die,
Soon a snowfall comes,
Covering the girl in a blanket of thick white snow,
The night passes quickly, giving way to a bright day,
A rainbow hangs in the sky, smiling radiantly at all,
The girl sits there frozen, a smile on her face too,
Her eyes stare into blankness, for they don’t see anything at all,
The ghost of her smile, still haunts the mountains to this day,
For that is why they are called, the Last Smile of the Little Girl...
