She took her last breath, none of her left,
My father in jail, unforgiven arrest,
No family to hug, no family that stay,
All that I can see, are black, white or grey,
I’m taken to an orphanage, they steer, we near,
After the flood, from my tears, I fear,
Not a single day would change, all is lost,
I refuse to breathe, at any cost,
I walk along ignoring my life, knowing I won’t smile once more,
Never could I feel such warmth, my heart can’t beat anymore,
Sitting down, like a bird can’t fly, I felt a hand on mine,
A glimpse of her delicate eyes, told me, “It will be fine,”
My heart can beat again, but it beats in a different way,
I have a huge smile on my face, but it’s not the same,
I had a battle between my new life, it’s no longer a duel,
For I have discovered, this is a new kind of wonderful.
