She cannot find words to express her numbing pain,
and not a scratch nor cut can ease it, not a burn nor blade.
She wants to scream, to cry that he'd be worth it all, but she let it get too far,
too late to save. Her heart breaks not once, not twice but three times,
and yet she'd risk it all for so much as a single kiss.
Her head may not be in it, but her heart is,
and yet there's no point to wish nor to hope.
She lost all that she had, all that she held dear, for a moment of weakness,
for a moment of fear. Her heart is aching,
her head pounding, as her hands are shaking and her sorrows drowning.
Her life she wishes would slip away,
but with a single shred of hope for him she chooses to stay.
A life of misery would be a small price to pay, if only,
she could reverse today.
Her soul has been bound by the pain of the past,
but her mind lives in the present, although the moment shall pass.
