Sadness

Sadness is like a rainy cloud on a sunny day.
Following you every step you make.
Everywhere you go it feels... icy, like a wind in a field.
Even if you smile, it's not the same.
Tucked under your covers at night, you feel coldness in your toes.
Everyone around you makes the world spin with thoughts and worries of bad things.
Darkness makes shadows on the wall, making your worst fears come to life.
Lights twinkle in the sky, waving to you.
Suddenly, you notice, and you are twinkling too.
