Magpies not the footy team
At least not after Dane Beam
Magpies the birds
The ones that fly in herds
In Winter and Autumn they hide and be a snoop
But Summer and Spring lookout because they’ll swoop
They’re only protecting their baby
You’ll do the same… maybe
They’re black and white
Caution they’ll swoop with all their might
Australia loves magpies
But they don’t love us, poor, poor Aussies
Why us magpies
Just stay in the skies
Thank you for reading this Mr or Miss
Remember, get to cover if you hear the magpie hiss
