The mist pressed itself up against the glass,
The bitter wind begged us to let it in.
We hoped, we prayed that the winter may pass,
And the renewal of spring would begin.
Sometimes too cold the heart of Winter roars,
And drowns out the desperate cries of pain.
Though the flowers shrivel in their remorse,
Mother Nature chooses not to abstain.
But the winter will diminish someday,
And hope remains that spring will awaken.
The cold can't keep us from the sun's great rays,
Hence the winds of winter have been taken.
Thus lovers and dreamers look on to find,
Spring has unleashed Winter's tightening bind.
