Ode To My Wonderland

Oh Wonderland, oh Wonderland, you are my getaway
I constantly come back to you, day after day.
I skip through your enchanted forest
Spying creatures singing in chorus.
Chatting birds and talking sunflowers -
I babble to them for hours and hours.
I slowly dip my feet in the 'Nymphic Brook'
And here comes a wave of my favourite books!
Like birds flying in the sky, the time seems to fly
And suddenly, I am forced to say a begrudging goodbye.
So, farewell, oh dear Wonderland, despite my dismay
Do not worry though, I’ll be back another day.
