As memory's pictures wither,
Words fading off the page,
You whisked me out like a feather,
Retold the memories of age.
You told of the great white mountains,
With colours fiery flame,
In the sunset, the sun pulls its curtains,
Night comes again.
You told of the great wide ocean,
Waves white-capped from the wind,
Blue swirling around like a potion,
Where sea monsters of unknown kind,
Slowly make their way beneath.
The fire of the clear new morning,
Fresh words standing crisp on the page,
You gently set me down in the memories of age.
