Excellence Award in the 'Horizon of Dreams 2018' competition

The burning illuminated stars beneath the deadened underworld,
The forgotten goddesses in the dark radiance of the inky night,
A whirlwind of scars peeks from the child’s fractured dystopia.
A rusted tap spills onyx oil over the infinite jabbering words,
The lands of worlds twirling away to the strings of imagination.
Stacks of haunted dreams clutter the desolate, murky place,
Pools of celestial galaxies cover the shattered warped mirrors,
Vivid placid façades to hide her anguished trauma from everyone.
Falcon eyes fall deeper into the paintings of tainted knowledge,
Storms of confusion staring ahead at the enigma of timelessness,
Her crimson obsidian eyes keep secrets not meant to be kept.
She’ll fall in tarnished reveries until the hateful dawn breaks,
Where she’ll slip on her ivory pearl mask of cracked perfection,
Where I, I have to hide divine fantasy in a crystal web of lies.
Where in the end, the only person left is me, myself and I.
Freedom, and the mangled nightmare this dead world will soon be.
