Under Water World

As I walk to the water’s edge,
sand rubs in between my toes.
The cool water splashes on my legs,
as I call Phoebe to join me.
We dive into the clear water,
sun gleaming on top of us.
A dark figure swims closer to me.
I lift my head for air as a scream,
makes birds fly out of trees.
I calm down to notice a turtle,
avoiding my squeal.
I dive under to view a new world.
Fishes swimming between colourful coral,
baby turtles that had run out from the shore,
attempt to find a new home.
I have finally found my paradise under the sea.
