Sadness is like a wave
it washes away the warmth in our hearts
pops our happiness like a board and darts
it makes us feel bad when
we're really not
losing something you love
like a friend who is lost

But friends are here to love and help us
ensuring our dreams aren't thrown to dust
They cheer us up when we are down
make us smile instead of frown
Friends are there to make us feel chirpy
they'll get you a smile and maybe a slurpee
