Dead Inside

Running by the sea side,
I stop to notice,
A little chicken by the ocean,
It was pecking at the sea,
I stop to notice and I cry,
I stop to think about my family and the little chicken that was about to die,
It symbolised humanity and how it was dead inside,
I started to laugh as I heard the children cry,
I was dead inside,
I couldn’t help even if I tried,
It eats you up like a cancer of the soul,
Survival of the fittest,
We are all dead inside,
But wait, you're still alive,
