Editing your work is important because it makes it great,
Also make sure you don’t hand it in late.
When composing an email or writing the answers to a test,
If you edit your work, you’ll always be doing your best.
Editing your work, you should never ignore,
For narratives, poems and loads more.
My mother always told me to cross my T’s and dot my I’s
And always keep my letters to size.
She also said don’t forget to check your grammar, punctuation and spelling,
For the piece that you are telling.
Make sure you edit your work from top to bottom and bottom to top,
Then you won’t end up with a page of slop.
When your editing is complete,
Don’t just take a seat,
Keep hold of that pen,
And make sure it’s a ten out of ten.
