Excellence Award in the 'Horizon of Dreams 2018' competition
The crash of the thunder in my ears
Like cymbals in a band
The howl of wind is a sorrowful tune
Like a wailing ghost in a haunted land
A sliver of lightning etches the sky
As the inky rain falls from way up high
Trees sway in a playful dance
Puddles splash and children prance
The mist drifts in, hiding secrets away
The soft breeze rustling cool, soft and grey
Mysteries drift through the silent fog
Past the wind, the shadows and the blackened smog
Colours red, orange, green and blue stream through the sky
A rainbow greets the smiling world
And to the storm I say goodbye.
