You could hear the stomping and running of the soldiers getting out of bed,
The reloading of guns,
The shouting of soldiers telling everyone to GET DOWN!
The loud noise of planes firing machine guns, again and again.
The BANG from the tanks ringing in your ears, killing your mates
The soldiers stepping over all the dead bodies in the trenches.
The crying noises from the soldiers losing their mates in battle.
Hardly getting any sleep from all the constant noises.
Then coming back home to see your family again…
but nothing being the same without your mates who didn’t make it.
