Excruciating noises ring in my ears,
Grown men's faces full of tears.
None of this was worth ruining my life,
Fighting for my country which I thought was right.
Millions died in what seems like a flash,
The battlefield full of flakes of ash,
Shivering shaking,
My bones aching.
I didn’t want to die like this,
I think back to all the people I will miss,
As I take my last breath I think back,
How this could happen, then hear a noise and everythings goes black.
Think of the consequences of this happening,
A world full of horrific battling,
Let's stand up and fight for peace, not war,
It’s all in our hands, this is something we must not ignore.
