Gunshots sounded
Bodies fall to the ground
It was silent but loud
Young innocent boys wounded, hiding in trenches
The ground was nothing but red, muddy and wet
Screams piercing through the air, hearts beating
In a split second a life was lost
Grief, darkness and sorrow
Bodies remained, some buried, many lost their friends
We fight for love, family, friends and our country
Who knows who will live, who will die
Unforgiving, daunting and misery
No signs of hope, love, joy, peace or freedom
Machinery and people trample over bodies forcing, powering through the field
The goodbyes are nearly over
The guns stop, screams fade away as we fled
