The truth is we care for ourselves, not others,
We only care for our families, fathers and mothers.
All we want is what's good for us,
While sadly others have to sleep on a bus.
We pity others but do nothing to help,
As we watch them struggle, starve and yelp.
We choose to pity others, but do nothing about it,
And people say they'll help, but honestly I doubt it.
When the homeless sleep, they can only wish,
That the rich and wealthy weren't so selfish.
The world we live in cares only for money,
While the poor think it's tragic, the rich think it's funny.
Everyone knows that we all have greed,
We take what we want, but not what we need.
So when I'm older, I will help the poor,
So that no one in Australia will suffer anymore.
