With hair like sunshine
and eyes made of stars
A dream in her eyes
and magic in her heart
The moon kissed her forehead
And the sun her cheeks
Her freckles were constellations
where the sun and stars meet
She traced the sky every night
She searched for the bright soul-light
that greeted and guided her
from aeons away . . .
She knew she belonged across the stars
In a world far away
Her soul was not grounded to our humble earth
And visions of a far home came to her in dreams
And her eyes are always searching
for a home among the stars,
light-years away.
