They Will Remember Us

Dedicated to all you brave soldiers out there who put your lives on the line and fought on through the hardest of battles in the hope of saving your countries.
Waving goodbye to our crying mothers,
They will remember us.
On the boats across treacherous seas,
They will remember us.
Landing on those foreign shores,
They will remember us.
Shot from above as we desperately ran,
They will remember us.
Climbing, struggling up steep hills,
They will remember us.
Failing to aid the sorely wounded,
they will remember us.
Mourning the mates we'd already lost,
And the war had barely started.
