I am tired. I am tired of the monotonous ticking of the analog clock on the wall. I am tired of the zoo they call "school" with its lions, bears and all, I am tired of “goodnights” that actually are “goodbyes”, I am tired of how people can spread ludicrous lies, I am tired of the words “don’t worry” that swim in the thing I call my brain,I am tired of people who try to in French, pronounce my simple last name, I am tired of those who take what they fear most, turning it into a game, In order to marginalize the minority people and let them feel pain. I am tired. I am tired of the fact that girls click through a hundred selfies, In order to find one that fills their guidelines of what they think looks ‘healthy’. I am tired of the superficial, the hypocrites and the ones filled with utter lust, That can only be satisfied through a girl with a big bust,
I am tired of the memesters who love to play satire, On topics like Islamophobia, animal cruelty and people who struggle to be hired. I am tired of the way we walk around not greeting each other at all, Just texting, typing on our phones, posting on our Facebook wall, I am tired of all you can eat buffets and the choices that they serve you, I am tired of the way I have to stand in line in the Maccas queue, I am tired of unrequited romance and iridescent love, I am tired of people that use sacrilegious comebacks, in the name of the one above, I am tired of dressing the way I do, and expressing the person I am, I am tired of the way I critic at my appearance, the way I am too tan, I am tired of this century and what this year has brought, Guess it’s just another decade before it’ll all be soon forgot.
I am just tired.
