Dear debating your death
Your value you conclude to be nought
Eclipsed by the pummelling of criminal whispered lies
The deceit creeps under your skin and into your sight
But that is not you
The moment I saw you I knew
That your soul belongs to the stars
And privileged am I to have found it so
For it is worth more than a globe of gold
The way your eyes light up
with the last golden rays of day
Are what I call happiness manifest
And my heart warms, because of you
Dear debating your death; please don’t
If you snuff out your bright-burning candle
How many will stumble in the waiting shadow?
