Excellence Award in the 'Write Along 2018' competition
words on a page could mean so much more
then teaching us how to count two, three, four
when words are written, neat or not
they can often leave our brain in knots
but words don't have to be hard or complex
no words that need a background check
we look over and over the things we've done
just fixing the mistakes until there's none
we shouldn't disregard our errors and mishaps
we should embrace and learn and teach perhaps
instead of reading words per say
read the mistake you make every day
and when you go back to look over those mistakes
don't think about how many it mistakes it takes
cause at the end of the day words are just words
let them go and fly off into the sky like birds
