Expectantly-
Yearning for a memory,
Distant like the shimmering haze
On the horizon. For times of soaking, choking.
Whispers of grass sway to the rhythm of
Empty, deflated clouds, that race
Above, a promise that never satisfies

Expectantly-
Soil imprinted with weakened crescents,
Following an cracked magnet to a-
Ghosted, hollow maze that leads to the
Empty and unfulfilling prize, the stamp of a fist.
Dust to dust, a sullen, bruised landscape.
White litter, crude decorations. More bone-
