Ode to a wolf

His paws roll like thuder
Sailing silently across the land
His piercing gaze strikes fear
Into the heart of his prey
He takes flight
And soars in majestic serenity
His golden eyes
Catch sight of a meal
He flies once more
Adrenaline and hunger
Are what drives him
He strikes with his fangs
Then the wolf feasts
On his hard work
He lifts his nose to the wind
Inhaling the scent of victory
