Walk Away.
You became my friend when I had none,
You shed your light just like the sun.
You made me laugh till it hurt inside,
Now though, there are only photos to remind.
You gave me a tissue when I shed a tear,
And when my life was blurred, you made it seem clear.
You gave me advice when I didn’t know what to do,
But now you’re gone and I don’t have a clue.
You helped me pull through when I couldn’t quite cope,
You gave me the strength, along with the hope.
You gave me the incentive to live life to the full,
But now it seems that life is just so cruel.
When that car hit the tree I just stopped and stared,
And it was that night that I looked up to the stars and glared.
I hope our friendship will continue again one day,
But just for now, you’ll have to walk away.
