Rain, Rain, we longed for rain, lack of moisture dried the terrain
Beautiful greens that covered our land soon died to things less grand
The precious light which helped us live, scorched so brightly
That we would not forgive
Selfish clouds kept all the rain, couldn’t they be generous once again?
Earth’s skin was cracking up as we poured water cup, by cup
We’d even be grateful if the monster of storms,
Decided to pay a visit as long as he swept the
Drought till it was gone
If only the sun would calm down,
Maybe then the rain would pour to the ground
Plants and animals, they don’t deserve this,
These innocent creatures help earth to live
How much longer till the rain comes back?
Saving the ground from those horrible cracks
Forever…
