Excellence Award in the 'Write Along 2018' competition
Only a true lover knows how to recover,
From wounds that are so deep that you want to weep.
All those fake promises really astonishes that you didn't care and you were never there.
I fed on your hate and I don't know if it was karma or fate.
I’m sorry I gave you everything I had without making sure you wanted it.
I look back to those days and really wonder if there were different ways
But I don't know because your innocent voice left me with only one choice.
Breaking up wasn't an ease yet again it was for my please,
I can always forgive but never forget, but these days I look back and just regret...
