A flash of swift light
The sky stomach rumbled
Poisoned with fright
The old house crumbled
Its owner long gone
Left on its last leg
Dead bush upon its lawn
Rotten stilts under its bed
There the old house stood
Twisted and torn
The aged rotten wood
Its door tired and worn
Past memories fade
Its future drawn
In its shallow grave
Nothing left to mourn
