Lying in bed, I watch the ceiling fan
Spinning, spinning, my mind becomes new eyes
The elder taught, "Stay true," to the young man
The young man hides from the critics, he cries
The child sees the world, a place of kindness
If only he could stay this way for good
He hasn't got society's vileness
The trap, he would avoid it, if he could
A girl born dead, wishes to not suffer
Another post. Makes her a nobody
She falls down. People cry but they flung her
She thought to escape, but she is not free
The child laughs at a world of confusion
The young man weeps, doesn’t see the illusion
