Victory

Confirmation of all desires
Elixir of the greedy
Without it, what are we
Content but still left needy

Stripper of the rich
Provider to the unadorned
Which form do you speak of
The noble or the scorned

Hope that never lasts
Should never be forsaken
When the trust is broken
Leaving us sobbing and shaken

For some know the secret
Though most cannot see
All wish to own, while
Victory belongs to me.
