To mend something that is broken,
Or to imprison those unspoken.
Could you give them another chance,
Before they have their last glance?
People say they don’t “deserve” to be content,
When they are ready to repent.
Losing a life, losing a memory, a priceless accessory.
Hearts have been shattered,
And pain has been scattered.
It’s hard to accept when someone accidentally overstepped.
But after our own suffering, we shouldn’t wish it upon another being,
We are God’s children and we should redeem them from suffering.
Choices and decisions, rejoices and incisions.
Evil and grace, rejection and embrace.
It is time to forgive and not forget,
But to live and reset.
