Do not stand over my grave and cry,
For I am not there. I did not die.
I am the winds, the rains, the snow,
I am fire, the burning embers glow.
I am the rainbow up so high,
The thunder, the lightning that flashes by.
I am the serene rivers that flow,
I am mountain tops and valleys low,
I am blue that is the sky,
Over chimneys, I am the birds that fly.
I am the books, the more you know,
The harder you think, the more you grow.
I am the reason tears form in your eye,
You think this is the last goodbye.
But do not stand over my grave and cry,
For I am not there. I did not die.
