My mountainous skin is rough and patchy,
The little beings make me feel very scratchy,
They think they can ski and build on me,
The beings cause me pain but only some see,
I am only one small and fragile earth,
I am the protector but not all know my worth,
My hard work helps them to take a breath,
Without me the only thing the world would bring is death,
They burn my skin causing me pain,
And they only do this for their own gain,
Those little beings are so ungrateful,
They make me feel ever so hateful,
I provide a place for them to live,
and all I ever do is gratefully give,
One day I will crumble to ash,
And all they’re worried about is cash.
