Ocean

The sand is soft under foot
and the clouds are staying put
The sky opens very wide
with a slow sluggish low tide

The aqua ocean is calm and smooth
as you sat and sat
dreamingly there, near
your friend as she peers

In the distance she could see a drift of sand
A golden drift of land
There as no footprints from people walking
There was no sound of people talking

Out into the ocean
with devotion
looking at the colour
the colour of emotion
