Visualising the simplest things in life change as we grow old,
The world around us stays the same but perspectives change and unfold.
The petal of a rose may not have seemed so special to us long ago,
Once examined and appreciated we see the beauty start to show.
One may seek to find comfort in buying a book or gem,
While others trace their footsteps back to where the beach welcomes them.
We each cherish many things of what we truly desire,
Sometimes as simple as sitting down toasting marshmallows by the campfire.
You may see the elegance in an old antique chair,
Others may only see the hidden stitch where there was once a tear.
Wealth provides sophistication in a world of value and expense,
Where the money is disbursed will make all the difference.
In other leases of life, basic necessity is more essential,
As full health and happiness unleashes someone’s true potential.
The individual morals and views we each share,
Differ from culture, age, experience alongside others we compare.
