Written Love

It started as nothing more than an acquainted friend
I had no idea as to how this would end
An adventure of discovery through tales behold
Through pens and paper a story is told

Our youthful views oblivious to the world
Mixed waves of emotion were destined to swirl
A non-existent view to the physical eye
Through expression of writing he was always nearby

Words written with comfort in times of need
A smile would unravel as I continued to read
Each letter hand written, sent off, and enclosed
Constructed a questione I had not yet imposed

And at last overall was something I knew
Through trust and friendship our affection had grew
Finally three words which were long overdue
Were sent at last, I love you!
