My Koala

A gift of love,
Encased in delicate grey fur,
A suit of smooth silver armour,
Cherishing precious memories,
Translucent black pearls looking out into the vast world.

As my fingers brush it’s fur,
Irresistible softness surrounds my fingertips,
Flowing memories encircle me,
A tornado of remembrance,
A cyclone of love,
Of care,
Of family,
All squeezed into one little koala.
