Convict Journal Entry

I am a nine year old boy called Lee. I stole a jar of jam and a loaf of bread from the bakery. I stole the loaf of bread because my mum and dad died from a disease and I got hungry. Then a police man came up to me, I ran, the police man followed me and then I slipped on a rock and then the police man got me and I was sent to Sydney Cove.
I was sent to Sydney Cove for stealing and my sentence was to serve seven years in jail. I’m not sure what my future will be in this new land. I do feel afraid.
