Remembrance

We remember them - in their courage and strife,
The young men and women trying to keep alive.
They did their best to survive and succeed
For our country - Australia was in need.

The soldiers walked upon foreign sand
But their hearts were back in the motherland.
They served their country strong and brave,
For our country - Australia - their lives they gave.

Some returned home where they rightfully should be,
They were reunited with their families in peace and harmony.
On April 25th I wear a poppy proud and true,
Brave soldier, brave servant - we will always remember you.
