"I've Been Thinking..."

I’m sitting here thinking, “what should I write?”
Should it be something mean, should it be something nice?
I wonder if I should just give up, but Mummy said “No!”
“That’s not a good attitude to have.”
So I think of some options to make her more glad.
I think of wolf pups, foxes, a bear…
Even that silly old cup that sits over there.
But then I get it the answer; it was staring me right in the face!
I’ll write about thinking!
After all you can do it in any place.
But there’s one thing I’ve been wondering about…
Is dreaming thinking? You know, ‘when the lights are all out.’
And if it is thinking what would you dream?
Would you dream of dogs or cats or yummy whipped cream?
But whatever you do, wherever you are…
Just keep on thinking and you’ll be a star!
