Darkness is dull, but the cosmos is bright,
So filled with light, yet so devoid of life,
Or maybe our eyes deceive us,
Its beauty is untouchable, unreachable, unconquerable,
And a million miles away,
Just as God intended it to be.
Where life is born, where life dies,
Galaxies form, planets are shaped, stars are born
Galaxies merge, planets collide, stars explode,
As endless as the ocean, as harsh as the desert,
And the Earth is its oasis.
Its inhabitants may be forgotten,
Like footprints in the sand,
Specks of light in the expanse,
Like grains of sand,
But the stars will never die,
They will shine for eternity.
