Growing up has been a real shock
Always having to abide by the clock
Time is ticking says my conscience
Even though it may sound like real nonsense
My name is Hannah and I have scoliosis
No doctor told me I have this diagnosis
For my mum with an eye for detail, that's her trick
Was adamant that her Hannah had something doctors couldn't pick
After X-rays and check-ups, one doctor found
That my spine twisted around and round
Couldn't dare sleep that night after hearing surgery was best
My parents found a brace clinic located down west
Within a few months, I was fit in a brace
Although not the most comforting device, it sure solved the case
Living in this contraption for two years or more
Growing a love for it while it strengthened my core
I knew one day this would all come to an end
But I guess now I can say that I'm living around the bend
