The Tree

There once was a tree
In Summer it was a paradise to a bee
It was as tall as a tower, and once a year it was laden with flowers

In Autumn, the branches would hold many fruits
And crimson leaves would cover its roots
In Winter the tree's branches would be bare
The poor tree would have nothing to wear, as it stood still in the cold Winter air
And watched each beautiful snowflake, fall upon a frozen lake

In Spring once the snow had thawed,
Birds would come and fly from abroad
Over hills and mountains they soared
Until they reached the land with the tree
Who was once a seed no bigger than a pea
And then grew and grew all year round, digging his roots deep into the ground
