Late Last Night
Late last night I lay in bed
Doing my homework in my head
The wind was howling the night grew dim
Something unusual was about to begin
My heart was pounding the sound grew near
I wish my parents would suddenly appear
From the corner of my eye I managed to see
A cranky old owl staring at me
He shook his head from side to side
All of a sudden owls multiplied
At first I was scared I started to shiver
My bottom lip began to quiver.
I hid under the covers but there was a frog
I ran to the door but there was a vicious dog
Then I fell to my knees and prayed to Jesus
And then it was all over after five sneezes.
