Ocean

Love, Loss, Gone…
Death is not the worst loss in life,
But what dies inside of you when they leave.
The grief is like a wave, it comes,
It’s never truly gone. But is just not always in sight.
She was left feeling alone.
Young. Innocent. Heartbroken.
‘I’m sorry for your loss.’
These were the words she constantly heard,
which were permanently indented into her thoughts.
We don’t know where they go,
A safe place they’ll say.
A safe place. Where’s that she thought. Heaven?
She finally gets up from being down,
Then. Crash. Your left in the middle of the ocean,
Forced to keep swimming.
