The people are angry
We march, painted banners held high, singing songs of justice for a dying planet
But every day the bullets spray in a different direction
Making their home in hearts not yet old and never deserving
And yet they fail to grasp that acts of hate are never for the greater good
Blind eyes are turned and the cries of the people are lost in a cloud of ignorance
For a devil sits on the thrones made for those who are good
And though they have many faces they are one and the same
Unaccepting of love, terrified of difference a, rationalising everything to a book or even less
I believe it is time we say no more
Today cannot be the day we all burn out
Dying stars, screaming for a justice that isn't coming
And never will unless we stand
United, one, as we should always have been
So I ask you now
Will you join me?
