Rainfall

Drip, drop, drip, drop down comes the rain,
pitter, patter, pitter, patter on the window panes,
finally it has arrived, plants and animals come alive,
rivers and streams are full,
children playing and laughing with each other,
still humid but there’s rain,
kookaburras laughing outside.
