Darkness

Hiding from the pain in the darkest of places
Not wanting or willing to see all those faces
Wishing that life would keep going on
Without you there, with you gone
Not trusting yourself to let go and live
You've nothing to take, nothing to give
You're not only hiding from the pain that you feel
But hiding from the way to heal
Wishing and wanting life to go on
Hoping no one notices you're gone
You had the chance but let it pass
Choosing forever to live in the dark.
